Natasha Morgan NYC Spring - Summer 2012 Campaign
The breeze and frore of wintertide slowly deliquesced as the brightest star begin to shine longer than yesterdays. There's always something about sunny days that give me an enlivening mood, although when the night comes I prefer my windy-rainy night just to get my sleep-tight-have-a-nice-dream kind of night. Probably because I was born in a used-to-be cold and full with fresh air (sigh) small town in South East Asia that makes me pretty anxious and sweat bullet every night in summer, but after all summer is still one my most-awaited moment every year.
Speaking of convivial and exuberance of summer, apart from new swimsuit and tireless sculpting your beach-bod, shades are without a doubt one of its essentials. Not just to hide your clear sight from bursting sunlight, shroud undesirable eye bag or perhaps just to stated who's the VIP in the party. Shades nowaday has multi-faceted intention to its enjoyer. The indistinguishable notions appeared when I saw Natasha Morgan vivid and provocative eyewear collection. Big, bold, attention-grabber with don't-mess-with-me attitude obviously struck to my brain all of a sudden at first glance. The New York based fashion and accessories designer unequivocally feels certain how to play the game and light up the party with her futuristic and cutting-edge aesthetic. Graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology has brought her anomalous phantasm to another level and on Fall 2010 she decided to launch her eyewear line, Natasha Morgan...FRAMED.
Natasha divided her alluring artworks into four elements; leather, metal, shield and fur with each symbolic statement. She auspiciously channeled her inspiration of ancient royalty into her designs, from Marie Antoinette to Queen Elizabeth, from Genghis Khan to King Henry VII and for the material, sequins to star-holed visor are one of her selection, Natasha did her forte to construct the elements together with her impeccable craftsmanship and high quality material. The net shield that reminds me of fencing mask to the big mongolian-fur framed shade without a doubt inviting designers to collaborate, like Ingrid Vlasov in her S/S 2012 show and some A-list celebrities to wear them everywhere. I bet the eccentric and idiosyncratic singer like Lady Gaga obviously must be on your top list or probably the famous blogger BryanBoy to wear her shades.
Natasha's eyewear collection was created for fearless, fierce and bodacious people or someone who's in the saddle when people stop doing what they were doing just to look at her appearance. It takes a big fortitude to put on her ferocious aesthetic design into everyday wear. All and all, it was a great introduction. Natasha is expanding her own label, with her striking approach we are definitely expecting something new that worth to wait next season.
